
Eligibility |
Work, when mounted for gallery presentation, must hang on the wall and may be no longer 20” on its longest side. All entries must have been completed after 2008. We encourage submission of work that is for sale. Each piece must be assembled and ready for hanging, no glass, Plexiglass only, no gallery clips, no saw-tooth hangers. |
Submission |
Digital images must be submitted on a PC readable CD and saved as a JPEG. Finished images should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) in a finished size of 5’’ x 7’’. Images should not include matting or a frame unless they are an integral part of the work. The CD must be labeled with the artist’s name. Artist must also include a color correct printout of each image. A complete entry packet will include the following: A completed entry form, a CD, a printout of image(s) and a check, money order or information to cover entry fees and a business size SASE envelope for notification. Entry CDs will not be returned unless postage and a second SASE envelope (CD sized) is included. Entries must arrive no later than April 2, 2010. Entry Fee |
There will be an entry fee of $25 for up to four entries. Checks should be made out to Gray Cat Studio. See the entry form if you wish to use Paypal or a credit card. |
Conditions |
Submission of a work of art to this competition and the artist’s signature on the entry form shall be understood to constitute an agreement on the part of the artist with all the conditions set forth and shall grant the Paste-up collage show the rights to reproduce and distribute the images of accepted works through print and electronic media for promotion of the exhibition and entrants. Artists will retain all copyrights on their work. |
Shipping |
Artists’ are responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the exhibit. Additional information regarding shipping will be supplied with acceptance letters. Hand-delivered work must arrive at the designated location by Wednesday, June 23th. If shipped work must arrive by Monday, June 21st and must be shipped in STURDY REUSABLE containers. Shipment will be made to Van Gogh’s Gear in Lowell, MA. |
Insurance |
Insurance will be provided while the work is hanging at the Ayer Lofts Gallery and while in transit from the gallery, the artist is responsible for insuring the work when shipping to the gallery. |
Sales of Work |
The Paste-up show will retain 30% of the sale price of work sold from this exhibit. Payment for work sold will be made no later than 14 days after the close of the exhibit. Exhibitors are invited to gallery sit and talk to visitors about their work. |
